Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal Launches New Healthtech Startup ‘Continue’

Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal Launches New Healthtech Startup ‘Continue’

A Personal Venture for Wellness Tracking!

Deepinder Goyal, co-founder and CEO of Zomato, has launched a new healthtech startup called Continue, aimed at health tracking and mental wellness. Currently operating in stealth mode, Continue is branded as “The Ultimate Health Tracker,” but specific details are still under wraps.

Behind the Scenes of Continue

The new venture is legally registered as Upslope Advisors Pvt Ltd, with Goyal personally funding the project—Zomato is not involved. Company filings show Goyal as a director, with Zomato employees Akriti Mehta and Simrandeep Singh serving as additional directors. Both have significant experience at Zomato, with Mehta on board for seven years and Singh for six.

Former Zomato and Blinkit executive Ashish Goel is also part of Continue, though his specific role remains unclear. The startup has a registered capital of ₹50 lakh, indicating its initial financial foundation.

Focus on Health and Wellness

Continue will cover various health aspects, including:

  • Mental wellness
  • Nutrition
  • Sleep tracking
  • Preventive health measures

Goyal has a keen interest in longevity and aims to help individuals perform at their best. He stated that Continue acts as his personal health and wellness team, working on insights and tools that might eventually be shared publicly.

Context in the Health Industry

This isn’t Goyal’s first foray into health and wellness. He has invested in Ultrahuman, a startup focused on wearables for fitness tracking, increasing his stake to over 8%. Zomato itself has explored health ventures, including the sale of Fitso to Curefit.

Several former Zomato executives have also ventured into health-focused startups, such as co-founders Gaurav Gupta (Gabit) and Pankaj Chaddah (Shyft), both garnering investor attention.

Zomato Remains Focused

Despite the launch of Continue, Goyal emphasized that Zomato’s operations, including food delivery and Blinkit, are separate from his new venture. A spokesperson confirmed that Zomato is not expanding into new areas and is concentrating on its core business.

Stay tuned for more updates on Deepinder Goyal’s exciting new project!
