Thrustworks Dynetics Rockets Ahead: Startup Raises ₹7 Crore Seed Round to Revolutionize Propulsion Systems

Indian Propulsion Startup Secures Seed Funding

Thrustworks Dynetics, a propulsion systems startup specializing in advanced rocket engines and subsystems, has successfully raised ₹7 crore in a seed funding round led by Jamwant Ventures, with participation from Piper Serica, SINE-IIT Bombay, and other strategic investors.

The funding will support the startup’s mission to scale its Integrated Rocket Facility, expand R&D in advanced propulsion technologies, and enhance testing infrastructure to cater to the growing global demand for commercial space access.

About Thrustworks Dynetics

Founded in 2023 by Manan Joshi, Kalyani Shinde, and Vinith Shenoy, Thrustworks Dynetics develops liquid rocket engine systems, subsystems, proprietary software, and test infrastructure.

The Pune-based company is actively working on ANYA, a liquid rocket engine platform designed for modularity and scalability, along with Micro-combustors and High Thrust High Impulse (HTHI) engines. Their Mobile Rocket Engine Test Bed allows rapid and flexible hot-fire testing, accelerating engine development cycles.

Building an Integrated Rocket Facility

Thrustworks Dynetics plans to establish a one-stop Integrated Rocket Facility, combining design, manufacturing, and testing under a single roof. This approach aims to reduce development timelines, enhance operational agility, and streamline propulsion system production.

Incubated at SINE-IIT Bombay, the startup is committed to empowering next-generation propulsion technology for both domestic and international space missions.

Collaborations and Industry Partnerships

To strengthen its capabilities, Thrustworks Dynetics is collaborating with leading space and aerospace organizations including:

  • ISRO
  • IN-SPACe
  • Bharat Forge
  • Godrej Aerospace
  • INOXCVA

These partnerships aim to accelerate commercial adoption and advance India’s space propulsion capabilities.

Position in the Global Market

The startup competes with global players such as Ursa Major, while differentiating itself through modular design, rapid testing capabilities, and scalable propulsion solutions. With the seed funding, Thrustworks Dynetics is positioned to scale operations, enhance testing facilities, and develop advanced engines for a new era of commercial space exploration.

What’s Next for Thrustworks Dynetics

The ₹7 crore capital injection will be used to:

  • Expand the Integrated Rocket Facility
  • Enhance R&D in propulsion systems
  • Scale up engine testing capabilities for commercial clients

The startup’s vision is to accelerate India’s commercial space access while developing high-performance, scalable propulsion solutions that can compete globally.
