Google’s Neha Markanda Joins ShareChat as Chief Business Officer — Get Ready for a Game-Changing Growth Spurt

In a power move that’s set to shake up India’s social media landscape, ShareChat has roped in none other than Google’s Neha Markanda as its new Chief Business Officer. If you thought ShareChat was already a giant, just wait — the tech titan’s newest hire promises to supercharge its growth and brand partnerships like never before.

Markanda, a seasoned pro with over 22 years of experience at industry leaders like Google, Meta, PepsiCo, and ITC, steps into the role at a critical time. ShareChat’s parent company, Mohalla Tech, recently announced EBITDA profitability and aims for a massive Rs 1,200 crore revenue run rate this year. And now, with Markanda leading the charge, the social platform is poised for even bigger leaps.

She replaces Gaurav Jain and will be the brains behind revenue strategies, driving partnerships, and expanding ShareChat and Moj’s footprint across India. With a combined 325 million monthly active users, these platforms are already among India’s largest digital networks.

Ankush Sachdeva, CEO and co-founder of ShareChat and Moj, didn’t hold back praising Markanda’s “invaluable” expertise in brand building and marketer insights — qualities that will no doubt propel the company forward.

And Markanda herself? She’s “thrilled” to join ShareChat and is eager to harness its regional reach and hyperlocal engagement to deliver fresh opportunities for advertisers and creators alike.
