This Startup Just Raised Rs 47 Crore to Make Online Shopping Unbelievably Real

A new AI startup is promising to change the way we shop online forever. PointAI, formerly known as Try ND Buy, just raised Rs 47 crore in a pre-Series A funding round led by Yali Capital, Lip-Bu Tan, and Tremis Capital, and it’s on a mission to make virtual shopping feel shockingly real.

PointAI uses cutting-edge AI and computer vision to let users try on products virtually, mix and match items, and even interact with a virtual salesperson—all in real time. Unlike traditional AI platforms that take minutes and massive computing power, PointAI can render hyper-realistic images, videos, and 3D assets in just 1–2 seconds, cutting costs by up to 90 percent.

Founder and CEO Nitin Vats says this is just the beginning. “Our AI bridges the gap between physical and digital retail,” he explains, promising a future where online shopping feels indistinguishable from the real thing. With over 70 global patents, the startup’s proprietary parallel AI architecture is turning heads in the tech world.

High-profile investors are backing this vision. Vijay Shekhar Sharma of PayTM and Vinod Sood of Hughes Systique are among those supporting PointAI, signaling huge confidence in the company’s disruptive potential. Ganapathy Subramaniam of Yali Capital called the startup “a game-changer poised for massive growth.”

The startup’s technology could transform multiple industries. Fashion, electronics, automotive, and even luxury goods can now provide customers a near-physical shopping experience online, reducing returns and boosting engagement.

PointAI plans to use the funding to expand its market presence, accelerate product innovation, and refine its technological capabilities. The startup’s AI platform is designed to be fast, cost-effective, and scalable—a combination that could rewrite the rules of e-commerce globally.

As virtual try-on becomes mainstream, the question isn’t whether this technology will impact shopping—but how quickly it will dominate. PointAI is betting it will be sooner than you think.
