Social music application Humit raises pre-seed round drove by Antler India

Social music application Humit on Monday said it’s anything but an undisclosed pre-seed round drove by Antler India, with support from First Check.

Indeed, private backers, including Alagu Periyannan (CTO, Bluejeans); Sarath Sura (Co-author, Sierra Atlantic); Ankit Mathuria (CTO, OYO Rooms); Shivakumar Ganesan (Co-originator, Exotel); Gajendra Jangid (Co-organizer, CARS24); Kshitij Khandelwal (Co-originator, Pixxel), among others, likewise partook in the round.

Established in 2020 by BITS Pilani graduates Rohit Ganapathy, Prithvi Sankar and Ishaan Negi, Humit gives a sound centered web-based media experience for Spotify clients, with mixes across Apple Music, YouTube Music, and SoundCloud right now underway.

The startup depends on a local area driven methodology, where music is discovered and shared on client directed channels called ‘stations’. The stage is home to more than 500 stations made by clients across 42 nations.

Talking on the turn of events, Rohit Ganapathy, Co-organizer, Humit, said, “With Humit, we are unraveling the subtleties of offering music proposals to a companion and being ready to put yourself out there through your desire for music. This is a center craving, and what we accept will scale worldwide.”

As of now, the startup professes to get footing in India, the US, and other worldwide business sectors.

Prithvi Sankar, Co-originator, Humit, said, “We have a few instances of super fans and people who’ve never met one another, building cross-line fellowships by finding each other’s music stations. This is genuinely compensating to see and reveals to us we are onto something unique.”

Talking on the financing into Humit, Rajiv Srivatsa, Partner at Antler India, said, “Indian techpreneurs are ‘working in India, for the world,’ which we accept will be perhaps the biggest pattern to watch. Humit is pushing limits and setting up new friendly builds around music that can possibly change shopper conduct and make another classification where none existed previously.”
