With this, clients can now place orders online and handpick food and daily essentials from the Fresho stores. The launch is part of the companys vision to open 200 physical outlets pan India by 2023 and 800 by 2026.

Fresho stores cater to self-billing counters integrated with video AI instruments that enable clients to pick things of their decision and gauge them at the counter through automatic PC vision that can distinguish the things and generate charges accordingly.

The stores will give access to the following 500 million clients who have not yet started buying everyday food items online and create another development opportunity for BigBasket.

The Tata-backed endeavor at present operates in 40 Indian urban communities and claims to serve 12 million clients orders each month. Last year the firm generated annual incomes of $1 billion.
