AirOps Secures $15.5 Million to Transform AI-Driven Marketing Content Creation

AirOps Secures .5 Million to Transform AI-Driven Marketing Content Creation

In today’s digital landscape, every business with an online presence is essentially in the content game. Whether it’s to engage customers, attract new clients, or boost SEO, managing the creation and optimization of text and images is crucial. With the rise of large language models (LLMs) capable of generating text, businesses are increasingly seeking tools that can handle these tasks efficiently—much to the chagrin of freelance copywriters.

Enter AirOps, which has just announced a $15.5 million Series A funding round aimed at solidifying its position as the go-to platform for generating and managing AI-driven marketing content at scale.

Initially, AirOps had a broader vision. After securing $7 million in seed funding in 2023, the team set out to create a versatile LLM-based tool for businesses looking to develop AI-enabled applications. “We’ve been on a journey to pinpoint where LLMs can genuinely deliver value for real customers,” says co-founder and CEO Alex Halliday. Through extensive customer feedback, the team discovered that while LLMs have limitations, they excel in content generation.

“It’s somewhat ironic,” admits co-founder Matt Hammel, “when we first ventured into LLMs, we thought of them primarily for content, rather than SEO. Initially, content seemed like a solved problem, but it became clear that the output can easily miss the mark—leading to brand misalignment and a flood of subpar material that needs constant updating.”

This is where AirOps steps in. The platform enables businesses to utilize virtually any popular model for generating text and images, allowing them to implement “guardrails” to maintain quality and consistency while keeping human oversight in the mix. AirOps is dedicated to streamlining the workflow from content generation to optimization, addressing the growing concern about the prevalence of mediocre, LLM-generated content flooding the internet.

“The key takeaway for our customers is that the quality of input dictates the quality of output when working with LLMs,” Halliday explains. “We help customers uncover valuable internal resources that can be transformed into high-quality content.”

With a focus on education, Halliday, who previously managed product development at Masterclass, believes that empowering customers is essential to the platform’s success.

The recent funding will allow AirOps to enhance its product and accelerate its go-to-market strategy. The Series A round was led by Unusual Ventures, with participation from Wing VC, Founder Collective, Xfund, and Alt Capital.

As AirOps sets its sights on transforming the content creation landscape, it aims to ensure that businesses can harness the power of AI without sacrificing quality—a game-changer in the competitive world of digital marketing.
